25 Days to go!!!

Had another meeting of the Organising Committee this morning and are well on the road towards tying up all the ends to make this a really memorable regatta!!!

Just a couple of things were discussed which we felt should be on this site to assist our visitors.

One, and it is most important, is that the sun can cause severe burning at this time of the year.    Even on overcast days, you can absorb a lot of radiation, especially if you come here from a Northern Hemisphere country which is just coming out of winter,

We will have limited supplies of sun screening ointment on hand but to be on teh safe side, if you are going to be on the water, bring some of your own so that you can re-apply it during the day.

The other matter is to bring some wet weather gear.   We are experiencing the wettest and coolest summer for many years and the indications are that we could continue to experience at least two days of rain during your stay.    Best be on the safe side.   It should not be cold but it could be wet!!!
